Aalborg have refereeing sussed at Man Utd!
Thursday, December 11th, 2008“Anywhere else but here [Old Trafford] and it would have been a red card”.
This is a quote from Aalborg player Kasper Risgard following the 2-2 draw where he claims here was a victim of a Rooney foul which went unpunished. More details at the BBC website.
French referee Laurent Duhamel, for the record.
Penalty, freekick or sending off?
Sunday, November 23rd, 2008Vidic “challenged” Agbonlahor when he was through on goal, shirt pulling outside the box, arm around his upper body outside the box, tripped in side the box. It must have been a free kick minimum, if awarded that would have presumably been followed up by a booking or sending off. And it was a good call for a penalty…. Referee Chris Foy awarded nothing. Any comments?
Celtic go 2 behind to poor decissions
Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008When will this 1 goal (and in this case 2 goal) start for Man Utd stop? Two poor offside decissions put Man Utd 2 up v Celtic in the Champions League. :( For the record the referee was Frank De Bleeckere (Belgium)
I heard with interest on the TV commentary that ex red Gordon Strachan has not managed a side to anything other than a defeat at Old Trafford!

Another poor refereeing decision, against Blackburn this time
Sunday, October 5th, 2008For the second week in a row Man United are gifted the opening goal of the game due to a poor refereeing decision, this time by Steve Bennett. A clear foul on the Blackburn goal keeper.
Blackburn manager Paul Ince says the referee or his assistant “made a big mistake” and “cocked it up” by allowing Man Utd’s opening goal!

Penalty decision v Bolton
Saturday, October 4th, 2008I’ve held off posting about the penalty decision which was awarded to Man Utd v Bolton in a hope someone would be tempted into make a comment on the blog. However, no one has
so here goes. It would seem, to their credit, that even the Man Utd players didn’t think it was a penalty as awarded by Rob Styles, click here.

Ferguson in Ref Blast
Wednesday, September 17th, 2008“If it had been a Manchester United player Hackett would never have done this for us.”
This is what Furguson has said in responce to John Terry’s red card being rescind by Keith Hackett, meaning Terry can play for Chelsea v Manchester United. Furguson’s remark is being looked into by the FA.

Man Utd not in the clear
Saturday, May 31st, 2008The FA may appeal against the verdict that cleared Ferguson and Queiroz of improper conduct according to the BBC website. This is all to do with the FA cup defeat to Portsmouth when ManU thought they should have had a penalty. Queiroz apparently called the ref a “robber” and Ferguson said “It’s absolutely ridiculous, I cannot explain it”. These things tend to even themselves out over the season, normally 10:1 in favour of Man Utd!

Refs biased towards Man Utd
Thursday, May 15th, 2008Avram Grant the Chelsea manager has suggested referees are biased towards Man Utd in this article on the BBC Sport Website. He draws reference to the sending off of Jon Mikel Obi before Man Utd went on to beat Chelsea 2-0 and a decission not to send Paul Scholes off in the title decider on the final day of the season at Wigan.
“I do not think the world is against Chelsea, or English football, but in this case there were some coincidences for Manchester United.” Said Grant
A view not frequently seen by Man Utd players?
